HOW MUCH WILL IT COST TO BRING ME MY NEW ADORNMENT?

DOMESTIC SHIPPING (WITHIN UK) : 3 options.

Special Delivery is £8 and takes 24 hours once we complete your order. This service is sent via Royal Mail SPECIAL DELIVERY, is fully trackable and insured up to £500 as standard, and absolutely guaranteed to be with you the day after we ship! You will need to be present to sign for your package upon delivery. Please note that although the postal service takes just 24 hours, we still need up to 10 working days to create your order! You’ll receive an Order Complete email, from which point your 24 hour delivery period begins.

Express is £6 and takes approx 24 hours once we complete your order (80% of orders are received the following day, but this is not guaranteed). This service is sent via Royal Mail, is fully trackable and insured up to £100 as standard. No signature is required. Please note that although the postal service takes approx 24 hours, we still need up to 10 working days to create your order! You’ll receive an Order Complete email, from which point your 24 hour delivery period begins.

Standard is £4 and takes approx 48 hours once we complete your order. This service is sent via Royal Mail, is trackable but NOT insured, nor does it need a signature on delivery. PLEASE only use this service if your delivery address is safe, secure, easy to locate for the postie, and you generally dont have issues with delivery! Please also note that although the postal service takes approx 48 hours, we still need up to 10 working days to create your order! You’ll receive an Order Complete email, from which point your 48 hour delivery period begins.

WORLDWIDE SHIPPING is £12 and sent via Royal Mail International Tracked (&Signed, where possible) (This is at our discretion- we’ll always use the quickest & safest method possible to you get your new piece asap!) IF you require a different shipping method, please contact us BEFORE you order, to discuss the best way for us to get your shiny new jewels to you!

 

HOW LONG WILL IT BE UNTIL IT’S IN MY HANDS?

DOMESTIC SHIPPING – Please allow BMM 10 business days to make and ship your order. Once shipped, you’ll receive an “Order Complete” email- when that bad boy hits your inbox it’s really time to get excited as you can expect your order imminently, depending on which shipping method you’ve chosen!

(Here’s a little tip from Team BMM- To avoid missing the delivery and add a little sunshine to the daily grind perhaps have your order sent to your place of work!)

WORLDWIDE SHIPPING – Please allow BMM 10 business days to make and ship your order. Once shipped, you will receive an “Order Complete” email, and you can then expect your order within 15 business days. Please DO NOT email us before this time frame as we currently cannot track individual international items, unless they have not arrived during the specified time frame. If you have not received your item 15 business days AFTER your Order Complete email, please use the contact form to contact us and we will track your package! Occasionally items are delayed at Customs in destination countries and BMM is not responsible for any delays which may occur (Although luckily, this usually doesn’t happen- PHEW!)

 PLEASE NOTE: When buying pieces from new or limited collections, please allow 14 working days for us to make your items and get them ready to ship! 

WILL THERE BE DELAYS AT BUSY TIMES?

In a word- yes! (At least we’re honest!) There’s no corporate crap here- we pour heart and soul into handcrafting each individual piece and we’re not prepared to compromise that quality by using factory lines to rush out orders. When we launch a new collection, during sales or during the classic shopping times (Christmas, Valentines etc!) we can receive hundreds of orders in the space of minutes so you may experience delays at these busy times. Should this happen we can only ask that you bear with us, remain patient and rest assured that we’re working our socks off to keep within the advised shipping times. We simply won’t rest until you have your order.

(Another tip from Team BMM- check for info banners on the homepage if you’re ordering for a certain date- we will ALWAYS update this!)

 

I’M HELLA INDECISVE. CAN I MAKE CHANGES TO MY ORDER?

We’ve been working super hard to create a slick process of handling your orders to ensure items in stock are usually dispatched within 24 hours. To make this possible, we tend to hit the workshop to get resizing by hand within literal MINUTES of your order being placed (told you we were slick!). This means we cannot make ANY changes to your orders once they are placed. This includes ring size/stone colour/shipping address/contact details etc. If we DO agree to make a change to an item we’ve already started working on you may incur a fee. Don’t say we didn’t warn you! Please email info@bloodymarymetal.com with the subject: ORDER CHANGE and your order number and we will advise you as appropriate. Please note that an admin fee of up to £10 may be incurred if changes to delivery addresses etc are made, to cover time and materials. We will always advise you of this where appropriate.

(Because of the above reasons, it is also not possible to cancel your order after it is placed, as we’ve likely already started work on your sparkly jewels!)

 

HOW CAN I TRACK MY ORDER?

DOMESTIC SHIPPING –  Please allow 2 business days AFTER your ‘Order Complete’ email before contacting us- we can then track your order for you.

WORLDWIDE SHIPPING – At this time we do not offer individual tracking on international orders. Please allow 21 business days AFTER your Order Complete email before contacting us. We can then track your order for you.

 

DO I HAVE TO BE HOME TO RECEIVE MY PACKAGE? I’VE PLACES TO BE!

For your order to be insured and trackable (we insist on this- ain’t nobody got time for losing orders in this day and age!) you’ve gotta be home to sign for your order. Please consider having your order delivered to your workplace so you don’t miss your delivery (plus you get the added bonus of being able to show off your fit new jewelry to your work colleagues!) IF you liaise with your postie and arrange for the order to be left in a safe place/to be signed for by a neighbour, BMM is NOT liable for items not delivered or received. This is YOUR responsibility. We’re happy to write a request on your package where possible but can’t guarantee that it will be adhered to.

 

WHAT IF THE ADDRESS WAS INCORRECT OR I MISSED COLLECTING THE PACKAGE THE POST OFFICE?

If your address was incorrectly entered at checkout, you missed the delivery, or you’ve not collected your order from your local post office where advised, then your order will be returned to sender (BMM!). If this happens, costs for re-sending your order need to be covered by you. If you do think you’ve missed your parcel please only email us AFTER the advised shipping times (above) as that allows time for the parcel to be returned to us. We’ll then invoice you for the repeat postage. As advised previously, save yourself the hassle and get it delivered to somewhere you can sign for it!

 

I LIVE HELLA FAR FROM CORNWALL. WILL I HAVE TO PAY FOR CUSTOMS OR IMPORT TAXES?

Potentially yes, all international customers are responsible for their own customs rates within their own country. BMM will happily write the full value of items on the customs declaration but will NOT mark as a gift (This is illegal, so please don’t ask us to do so- we’re badasses not criminals!). Contact your local customs office for advice on charges. PLEASE NOTE:

Bloody Mary Metal is not liable for and will not replace or pay compensation for loss of or damage to items we send if:

  • the item is seized by Customs or any other government agency.
  • the item is sent to a country where no postal or courier service exists.
  • the loss or damage is the result of an event beyond our reasonable control.
  • the loss or damage occurs after delivery.
  • we are informed by the courier or postal service that your item HAS been delivered
  • the item was authorised by the customer to be sent without tracking or without insurance.

 

I’VE FOUND MY DREAM PIECE AND NEED IT NOW! WHAT METHODS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?

We accept PAYPAL, and most credit and debit cards. You can also pay using your normal card via Paypal even if you don’t have a PayPal account. We also accept our very own method of payment- BMM gift vouchers of course! They’re the perfect gift for that person who knows exactly what they want but doesn’t know where to get it.

 

WHAT CURRENCY IS USED ON THE SITE?

All of our prices are in GBP (£). Checkout prices are also in £. Please use your own converter for the current exchange rates as we can’t respond to emails asking about currency conversions.

DO YOU OFFER RETURNS OR EXCHANGES?

We don’t offer exchanges on custom items whatsoever. Once it’s yours it’s yours!

For non-custom items, we offer returns within 7 days as long as Team BMM deems the item to be returned in original, unworn condition inside its original, undamaged packaging. FYI ALL RINGS ARE DEEMED AS CUSTOM ORDERS AND ARE NON-RETURNABLE UNLESS FAULTY.

CAN I RETURN A SALE ITEM?

Nope. All sale items are non-returnable. (Please also note that items bought during Sale will be packaged together where possible)

 

WHAT IF I’VE RECEIVED A FAULTY OR INCORRECT ITEM?

Should this occur please contact us ASAP with your Order Number and explanation and we’ll be more than happy to arrange a replacement for you. We will need you to return the incorrect or faulty item.

 

HOW DO I KNOW IF MY RETURN HAS ARRIVED AT BMM HQ?

Please allow 14 business days after sending your item for us to process your return. We try to process refunds as quickly as possible- nobody likes to wait for returned funds! As soon as we receive the item we’ll refund the total amount paid minus any shipping costs via your original method of payment. We suggest you send your return via recorded post as a minimum as we can’t issue refunds for any items not received or lost in transit.

 

I’VE GONE ALL PIMP AND ORDERED GOLD ITEMS- HOW LONG WILL THEY TAKE?

GOLD orders usually take 4 weeks (21 working days) as we tend not to keep gold in stock and so cast each individual gold item to order. If ordering for a specific date please allow plenty of time for your gold item and we’ll try our best to accommodate you where possible.

Ring Sizing

♥ BMM uses the standard British Ring Sizing Scale- alphabetical.

♥ If you require a half size (e.g., P1/2) please order the size smaller (e.g., P) and add a note at checkout asking for the half size (e.g., P1/2). (A tip from team BMM- it might be worth going half a size bigger if you’re purchasing a stack of 3 rings- the more skin the rings cover the tighter it can feel).

♥ If you know your ring size in another scale (e.g., US numbers) please convert that size to a UK Letter size. We simply don’t have time to convert these sizes for you. We have a handy conversion chart at the bottom of this Ring Sizing page, or use a search engine online if the scale you know is not listed below!

♥ If you don’t know your ring size the best way to get an accurate size is usually by visiting a jeweller and getting them to size your finger.

♥ If you prefer, we have Plastic Ring Sizers available for £3 with free postage so if in doubt, grab one of these bad boys to avoid having to pay for a re-size. (Please note: Ensure the sizer fits your finger as you would want the ring to fit, e.g. you must be able to remove the sizer over your knuckle! This is not a 100% accurate way to gain your ring size and we cannot take responsibility for inaccurate sizings taken using these Ring Sizers).

♥ BMM offers a ring re-sizing service. We charge a minimal fee of £10 per ring (£15 for rings with stones). This covers safe postage back to you, time and materials. FYI ALL rings by BMM are sized to order and are therefore classed as a personalized item. This means that the re-sizing cost falls with the customer.

♥ We’ve tried to make the re-size process as simple as possible so you can get your perfect ring with ease! If you do require a resize please go to the search bar on the site, type in “ring resize” and follow the instructions from there. The re-size service is also listed on the “For Fingers” page!

A tip from Team BMM- we advise you send your rings to us via AT LEAST recorded, if not Special Delivery as BMM cannot accept responsibility for items lost or damaged in the post unless trackable. There’s nothing worse than losing something so personal so don’t let it happen- get it tracked! (If sending from outside of the UK please mark your package as a RETURN so that BMM does not incur a Customs fee. BMM will refuse items with fees attached, so remember to mark your packages correctly!)

Silver Care & Information

♥ All of our items are made using solid 925 Sterling Silver. (Unless stated as being made of gold, of course!)

♥ We do NOT plate ANYTHING. Nothing but the real deal when it comes to BMM.

♥ Sterling silver (hallmarked 925 when the item is over 7g in weight) is 92.5% silver and 7.5% copper. There is no nickel in silver.

As with all of our  stones, they can be delicate so please take care with them, avoid contact with chlorine, chemicals and soaps etc, and remove before hand washing to help the stone remain sparkly and in good condition.

♥ Getting a green or black mark from your jewellery? Don’t panic- we haven’t stiffed you with cheap metal alternatives! This“green finger effect” happens to about 2-3% of people and this percentage is growing due to the increasing amounts of chemicals in our environment and the food we eat. These reactions can be occasional and can even be triggered by eating something that has high acidity like tomatoes. It can also be triggered by certain medications or due to excitement and adrenalin. Who knew?!

♥ A green mark on the finger can also be a reaction between the ring and another substance on your hand, such as a lotion/cleaning product.

Acids in cleaning products/soaps cause the silver to oxidize which produces tarnish. This tarnish then leaves a dark or green ring on your finger. Even sterling silver and 9carat gold jewelry can produce a discoloration.

♥ You’ll greatly reduce the chance of any ring turning your finger green if you take care to keep soap, lotions and other chemicals away from it. You should also remove your rings before bathing or swimming- especially in saltwater or chlorine. Just don’t leave them at the side of the pool- losing a fave piece of jewelry does not a happy holiday make!

♥ Silver generally tends to react differently with each individual’s body chemistry. Some people find that the silver itself turns black when it touches their skin. Others will find it’s their skin that turns black where it touches the silver. This happens with rings on the reg and to add to the confusion it can vary from ring to ring!

The important point we’re making is that it isn’t a sign of inferior metal- it’s just basic chemistry between you and the metal. The best thing to do in this situation is keep your jewellery and your skin as clean as possible.

♥ SILVER IN POOLS AND HOT TUBS?? JUST DON’T DO IT!

Think twice before you get your diva on and hit the pool draped in more jewelry than a Kardashian on a day trip. Take that silver jewellery off! Chemicals in pools and hot tubs often react with silver and can potentially do more than just tarnish the jewelry- they can literally turn it black. This usually can’t be removed by hand and would need to be professionally restored. Aint nobody got time for that! Play it safe and take it off.

♥HERE’S AN EASY WAY TO REMOVE TARNISH FROM STERLING SILVER IN YOUR OWN HOME- STRAIGHT FROM THE MOUTHS OF BMM!

This is a great, fast and super easy way to clean up tarnished jewellery. Be very careful to watch the jewellery though- it changes quickly!

1)Get a glass baking dish and cover the bottom with tin foil.

2) Pour steaming hot water (about an inch or however high you need to cover the jewellery) into the dish.

3) Add about a 1 tbsp. of salt and 1tbsp bicarb soda to the mixture.

4) Drop the silver pieces into the dish. Make sure they are touching the foil and not touching each other.

5) The tarnish will begin to disappear instantly (Heavily tarnished items might require a few extra minutes). Watch the pieces, and when they look clean you can take them out. Rinse them off with water and dry thoroughly.

♥ Another solution is to simply clean the ring every day with a silver polishing cloth. After about a week or two, the reaction will stop occurring.

(Here’s a Team BMM tip for all the hot sistas out there! Apply a thin layer of clear nail polish on the inside of the ring- it’ll prevent perspiration and body sweat from reaching the metal and reacting to it!)

 

 

Returns Information

RETURNS INFORMATION

✝ All returns are dealt with on a case-by-case basis. Any refunds/ exchanges offered are at the discretion of Bloody Mary Metal Ltd.

✝ In accordance with the Consumer Rights Act 2015, if you are not 100% happy with your purchase, please notify us of the issue via email or by using the Contact Page within 30 days of receiving your item and someone will get back to you to organise your exchange/refund (where applicable). Please note that custom orders, including all rings sized specifically to order are non exchangeable nor refundable unless deemed faulty by BMM. If work has already started, a fee may be incurred.

✝ If you have received a faulty item, or a fault appears with the item within 6 months of your purchase date, please contact us and we will arrange a replacement or repair for you. Please note that BMM will have the final say on whether the item is faulty, and items damaged through neglect, force, or mis-use will not be repaired or replaced by BMM, and the cost will fall with the customer.

✝ Please DO NOT just send an item back without contacting BMM first. Please also note that ALL REFUNDS will be sent via our website through the original payment method; either Stripe or Paypal, our payment gateways. We CANNOT pay into bank accounts or similar- all refunds must go through the original method used.

✝ We want you to be happy with your BMM purchase and will work with you, where reasonable, to ensure that you are. Only items returned in original, unworn, saleable condition, within the 7 day period, may be considered for refunds/exchanges.

✝ Custom/ Personalised items CANNOT be refunded or exchanged unless deemed faulty by BMM.

✝ Rings are classed as Custom items and therefore CANNOT be refunded or exchanged unless deemed faulty or damaged by Bloody Mary Metal. This includes personalised BMM Stack rings and ALL rings sized to order.

It is the responsibility of the customer to provide their correct ring size as per the standard UK ring sizing scale (as stated on the Ring Sizings page). BMM will then supply rings to fit as requested. If a ring does not fit, the cost of resizing falls with the customer (Ring re-sizing costs start at £10 per ring which covers time, materials and insured postage back to you- please see Ring Sizing Information for further info).

JUST TO REITERATE, ALL RINGS ARE NON-EXCHANGEABLE. We don’t keep stock of all ring sizes- every ring is individually handcrafted to fit it’s owner. Due to the time-consuming and personalized nature of this process rings simply cannot be exchanged or refunded, unless deemed faulty by BMM. Fear not though- we do offer a re-size service. If you require this service check out the Ring Sizing Information page for more details.

✝ Postage costs fall with the customer for returns/ exchanges, unless Bloody Mary Metal deems the product to be faulty or damaged. Please package any returns sufficiently and send with tracking, as items lost/damaged in transit due to inadequate packaging by you will not be considered for refunds/exchanges. We don’t want anyone missing out on a piece that could very well form an integral part of their jewelry set up for life so please do TRACK THAT ORDER!

✝ IF RETURNING ITEMS FROM OUTSIDE OF THE UK (for return/ exchange or resize) you MUST make sure you mark the package as a RETURNED ITEM otherwise we may incur a Customs/Import fee. BMM will refuse any items that need fees paying on them, and you may then get charged to have it returned to sender.

✝ ALL SALE ITEMS ARE NON RETURNABLE/ EXHANGEABLE/ REFUNDABLE. SALE IS FINAL. This includes any items bought with a discount/sales voucher.

♥ All BMM items come in a black and gold BMM box. Multiple items may be packaged into the same box, at BMM’s discretion, so if you specifically require 2 boxes, if items are gifts etc, please make sure you add a note at checkout. If you request an extra box after we have posted your order, you may have to a minimal fee for postage etc.

 

GIFT VOUCHERS & DISCOUNT CODES

♥ We offer gift vouchers, starting at £10. These are printed and come in the cutest folded style, which can be written out for you or sent to you for your own note to be added. Please advise us at checkout so we know what you’d prefer!

♥ Gift Vouchers purchased from BMM will have 1 year before expiry. Plenty of time even for the most indecisive buyer!

♥ Vouchers and voucher codes that are gifted from BMM (at BMM events, for promotion etc) can be removed and ended at any time, at BMM’s discretion.

♥ DISCOUNT CODES from BMM CANNOT be added retrospectively and only kick in at BMM’s discretion. Please don’t email asking for discount on yesterday’s order or saying you missed the discount- fair is fair guys and it’ll just be awkward for all parties involved when we say no!

Our hands-on approach allows us to be malleable in terms of the items we create. Give us a shout via the contact page and if we can cast a particular piece for you we’ll let you know.

♥ I’M ORDERING AS A GIFT- CAN YOU GIFT WRAP?

We can go one better than that- all BMM orders are packaged in a deluxe, gold-foil printed BMM box. If you also require a message to be sent with the item please add it into the notes section of your order with clear instructions.

(PLEASE NOTE: Multiple items may be boxed together at BMM’s discretion, so if you require separate boxes please add a note at checkout. Multiple items bought during Sale will always be packaged together)

♥ I’M IN LOVE WITH A SILVER PIECE ON THE SITE BUT I WANT IT IN GOLD, IS THIS POSSIBLE?

Definitely! BMM casts regularly in both silver and gold so if there’s something you’d like in gold get in touch via the CONTACT PAGE to discuss it with us. There’s usually a 4 week wait on gold items as we don’t keep them in stock so please give us as much notice as possible if it’s for a special occasion!

♥ HOW LONG DO GIFT VOUCHERS LAST?

Gift vouchers purchased on the website have one year before expiry. Gift vouchers or coupon codes won in goody bags or BMM competitions expire in 1 month.

Although we make every effort to keep sufficient stock of items listed on our site, occasionally we do sell out of certain products and sizes. If we are out of stock on an item you have ordered, we’ll notify you via email.

Please DO NOT email us before this time frame as we currently cannot track individual international items, unless they have not arrived during the specified time frame. If you have not received your item 15 business days AFTER your Order Complete email, please use the contact form to contact us and we will track your package! WILL THERE BE DELAYS AT BUSY TIMES?

In a word- yes! (At least we’re honest!) There’s no corporate crap here- we pour heart and soul into handcrafting each individual piece and we’re not prepared to compromise that quality by using factory lines to rush out orders. When we launch a new collection, during sales or during the classic shopping times (Christmas, Valentines etc!) we can receive hundreds of orders in the space of minutes so you may experience delays at these busy times. Should this happen we can only ask that you bear with us, remain patient and rest assured that we’re working our socks off to keep within the advised shipping times. We simply won’t rest until you have your order.

I’M HELLA INDECISVE. CAN I MAKE CHANGES TO MY ORDER?

We’ve been working super hard to create a slick process of handling your orders to ensure items in stock are usually dispatched within 24 hours. To make this possible, we tend to hit the workshop to get resizing by hand within literal MINUTES of your order being placed (told you we were slick!). This means we cannot make ANY changes to your orders once they are placed. This includes ring size/stone colour/shipping address/contact details etc. If we DO agree to make a change to an item we’ve already started working on you may incur a fee. Don’t say we didn’t warn you! Please email info@bloodymarymetal.com with the subject: ORDER CHANGE and your order number and we will advise you as appropriate. Please note that an admin fee of up to £10 may be incurred if changes to delivery addresses etc are made, to cover time and materials. We will always advise you of this where appropriate.

(Because of the above reasons, it is also not possible to cancel your order after it is placed, as we’ve likely already started work on your sparkly jewels!)

 

HOW CAN I TRACK MY ORDER?

DOMESTIC SHIPPING –  Please allow 2 business days AFTER your ‘Order Complete’ email before contacting us- we can then track your order for you.

WORLDWIDE SHIPPING – At this time we do not offer individual tracking on international orders. Please allow 21 business days AFTER your Order Complete email before contacting us. We can then track your order for you.

 

DO I HAVE TO BE HOME TO RECEIVE MY PACKAGE? I’VE PLACES TO BE!

For your order to be insured and trackable (we insist on this- ain’t nobody got time for losing orders in this day and age!) you’ve gotta be home to sign for your order. Please consider having your order delivered to your workplace so you don’t miss your delivery (plus you get the added bonus of being able to show off your fit new jewelry to your work colleagues!) IF you liaise with your postie and arrange for the order to be left in a safe place/to be signed for by a neighbour, BMM is NOT liable for items not delivered or received. This is YOUR responsibility. We’re happy to write a request on your package where possible but can’t guarantee that it will be adhered to.

 

WHAT IF THE ADDRESS WAS INCORRECT OR I MISSED COLLECTING THE PACKAGE THE POST OFFICE?

If your address was incorrectly entered at checkout, you missed the delivery, or you’ve not collected your order from your local post office where advised, then your order will be returned to sender (BMM!). If this happens, costs for re-sending your order need to be covered by you. If you do think you’ve missed your parcel please only email us AFTER the advised shipping times (above) as that allows time for the parcel to be returned to us. We’ll then invoice you for the repeat postage. As advised previously, save yourself the hassle and get it delivered to somewhere you can sign for it!

 

I LIVE HELLA FAR FROM CORNWALL. WILL I HAVE TO PAY FOR CUSTOMS OR IMPORT TAXES?

Potentially yes, all international customers are responsible for their own customs rates within their own country. BMM will happily write the full value of items on the customs declaration but will NOT mark as a gift (This is illegal, so please don’t ask us to do so- we’re badasses not criminals!). Contact your local customs office for advice on charges. PLEASE NOTE:

Bloody Mary Metal is not liable for and will not replace or pay compensation for loss of or damage to items we send if:

  • the item is seized by Customs or any other government agency.
  • the item is sent to a country where no postal or courier service exists.
  • the loss or damage is the result of an event beyond our reasonable control.
  • the loss or damage occurs after delivery.
  • we are informed by the courier or postal service that your item HAS been delivered
  • the item was authorised by the customer to be sent without tracking or without insurance.

 

I’VE FOUND MY DREAM PIECE AND NEED IT NOW! WHAT METHODS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?

We accept PAYPAL, and most credit and debit cards. You can also pay using your normal card via Paypal even if you don’t have a PayPal account. We also accept our very own method of payment- BMM gift vouchers of course! They’re the perfect gift for that person who knows exactly what they want but doesn’t know where to get it.

 

WHAT CURRENCY IS USED ON THE SITE?

All of our prices are in GBP (£). Checkout prices are also in £. Please use your own converter for the current exchange rates as we can’t respond to emails asking about currency conversions.

DO YOU OFFER RETURNS OR EXCHANGES?

We don’t offer exchanges on custom items whatsoever. Once it’s yours it’s yours!

For non-custom items, we offer returns within 7 days as long as Team BMM deems the item to be returned in original, unworn condition inside its original, undamaged packaging. FYI ALL RINGS ARE DEEMED AS CUSTOM ORDERS AND ARE NON-RETURNABLE UNLESS FAULTY.

CAN I RETURN A SALE ITEM?

Nope. All sale items are non-returnable. (Please also note that items bought during Sale will be packaged together where possible)

 

WHAT IF I’VE RECEIVED A FAULTY OR INCORRECT ITEM?

Should this occur please contact us ASAP with your Order Number and explanation and we’ll be more than happy to arrange a replacement for you. We will need you to return the incorrect or faulty item.

 

HOW DO I KNOW IF MY RETURN HAS ARRIVED AT BMM HQ?

Please allow 14 business days after sending your item for us to process your return. We try to process refunds as quickly as possible- nobody likes to wait for returned funds! As soon as we receive the item we’ll refund the total amount paid minus any shipping costs via your original method of payment. We suggest you send your return via recorded post as a minimum as we can’t issue refunds for any items not received or lost in transit.

 

I’VE GONE ALL PIMP AND ORDERED GOLD ITEMS- HOW LONG WILL THEY TAKE?

GOLD orders usually take 4 weeks (21 working days) as we tend not to keep gold in stock and so cast each individual gold item to order. If ordering for a specific date please allow plenty of time for your gold item and we’ll try our best to accommodate you where possible.

Ring Sizing

♥ BMM uses the standard British Ring Sizing Scale- alphabetical.

♥ If you require a half size (e.g., P1/2) please order the size smaller (e.g., P) and add a note at checkout asking for the half size (e.g., P1/2). (A tip from team BMM- it might be worth going half a size bigger if you’re purchasing a stack of 3 rings- the more skin the rings cover the tighter it can feel).

♥ If you know your ring size in another scale (e.g., US numbers) please convert that size to a UK Letter size. We simply don’t have time to convert these sizes for you. We have a handy conversion chart at the bottom of this Ring Sizing page, or use a search engine online if the scale you know is not listed below!

♥ If you don’t know your ring size the best way to get an accurate size is usually by visiting a jeweller and getting them to size your finger.

♥ If you prefer, we have Plastic Ring Sizers available for £3 with free postage so if in doubt, grab one of these bad boys to avoid having to pay for a re-size. (Please note: Ensure the sizer fits your finger as you would want the ring to fit, e.g. you must be able to remove the sizer over your knuckle! This is not a 100% accurate way to gain your ring size and we cannot take responsibility for inaccurate sizings taken using these Ring Sizers).

♥ BMM offers a ring re-sizing service. We charge a minimal fee of £10 per ring (£15 for rings with stones). This covers safe postage back to you, time and materials. FYI ALL rings by BMM are sized to order and are therefore classed as a personalized item. This means that the re-sizing cost falls with the customer.

♥ We’ve tried to make the re-size process as simple as possible so you can get your perfect ring with ease! If you do require a resize please go to the search bar on the site, type in “ring resize” and follow the instructions from there. The re-size service is also listed on the “For Fingers” page!

A tip from Team BMM- we advise you send your rings to us via AT LEAST recorded, if not Special Delivery as BMM cannot accept responsibility for items lost or damaged in the post unless trackable. There’s nothing worse than losing something so personal so don’t let it happen- get it tracked! (If sending from outside of the UK please mark your package as a RETURN so that BMM does not incur a Customs fee. BMM will refuse items with fees attached, so remember to mark your packages correctly!)

Silver Care & Information

♥ All of our items are made using solid 925 Sterling Silver. (Unless stated as being made of gold, of course!)

♥ We do NOT plate ANYTHING. Nothing but the real deal when it comes to BMM.

♥ Sterling silver (hallmarked 925 when the item is over 7g in weight) is 92.5% silver and 7.5% copper. There is no nickel in silver.

As with all of our  stones, they can be delicate so please take care with them, avoid contact with chlorine, chemicals and soaps etc, and remove before hand washing to help the stone remain sparkly and in good condition.

♥ Getting a green or black mark from your jewellery? Don’t panic- we haven’t stiffed you with cheap metal alternatives! This“green finger effect” happens to about 2-3% of people and this percentage is growing due to the increasing amounts of chemicals in our environment and the food we eat. These reactions can be occasional and can even be triggered by eating something that has high acidity like tomatoes. It can also be triggered by certain medications or due to excitement and adrenalin. Who knew?!

♥ A green mark on the finger can also be a reaction between the ring and another substance on your hand, such as a lotion/cleaning product.

Acids in cleaning products/soaps cause the silver to oxidize which produces tarnish. This tarnish then leaves a dark or green ring on your finger. Even sterling silver and 9carat gold jewelry can produce a discoloration.

♥ You’ll greatly reduce the chance of any ring turning your finger green if you take care to keep soap, lotions and other chemicals away from it. You should also remove your rings before bathing or swimming- especially in saltwater or chlorine. Just don’t leave them at the side of the pool- losing a fave piece of jewelry does not a happy holiday make!

♥ Silver generally tends to react differently with each individual’s body chemistry. Some people find that the silver itself turns black when it touches their skin. Others will find it’s their skin that turns black where it touches the silver. This happens with rings on the reg and to add to the confusion it can vary from ring to ring!

The important point we’re making is that it isn’t a sign of inferior metal- it’s just basic chemistry between you and the metal. The best thing to do in this situation is keep your jewellery and your skin as clean as possible.

♥ SILVER IN POOLS AND HOT TUBS?? JUST DON’T DO IT!

Think twice before you get your diva on and hit the pool draped in more jewelry than a Kardashian on a day trip. Take that silver jewellery off! Chemicals in pools and hot tubs often react with silver and can potentially do more than just tarnish the jewelry- they can literally turn it black. This usually can’t be removed by hand and would need to be professionally restored. Aint nobody got time for that! Play it safe and take it off.

♥HERE’S AN EASY WAY TO REMOVE TARNISH FROM STERLING SILVER IN YOUR OWN HOME- STRAIGHT FROM THE MOUTHS OF BMM!

This is a great, fast and super easy way to clean up tarnished jewellery. Be very careful to watch the jewellery though- it changes quickly!

1)Get a glass baking dish and cover the bottom with tin foil.

2) Pour steaming hot water (about an inch or however high you need to cover the jewellery) into the dish.

3) Add about a 1 tbsp. of salt and 1tbsp bicarb soda to the mixture.

4) Drop the silver pieces into the dish. Make sure they are touching the foil and not touching each other.

5) The tarnish will begin to disappear instantly (Heavily tarnished items might require a few extra minutes). Watch the pieces, and when they look clean you can take them out. Rinse them off with water and dry thoroughly.

♥ Another solution is to simply clean the ring every day with a silver polishing cloth. After about a week or two, the reaction will stop occurring.

(Here’s a Team BMM tip for all the hot sistas out there! Apply a thin layer of clear nail polish on the inside of the ring- it’ll prevent perspiration and body sweat from reaching the metal and reacting to it!)

RETURNS INFORMATION

✝ All returns are dealt with on a case-by-case basis. Any refunds/ exchanges offered are at the discretion of Bloody Mary Metal Ltd.

✝ In accordance with the Consumer Rights Act 2015, if you are not 100% happy with your purchase, please notify us of the issue via email or by using the Contact Page within 30 days of receiving your item and someone will get back to you to organise your exchange/refund (where applicable). Please note that custom orders, including all rings sized specifically to order are non exchangeable nor refundable unless deemed faulty by BMM. If work has already started, a fee may be incurred.

✝ If you have received a faulty item, or a fault appears with the item within 6 months of your purchase date, please contact us and we will arrange a replacement or repair for you. Please note that BMM will have the final say on whether the item is faulty, and items damaged through neglect, force, or mis-use will not be repaired or replaced by BMM, and the cost will fall with the customer.

✝ Please DO NOT just send an item back without contacting BMM first. Please also note that ALL REFUNDS will be sent via our website through the original payment method; either Stripe or Paypal, our payment gateways. We CANNOT pay into bank accounts or similar- all refunds must go through the original method used.

✝ We want you to be happy with your BMM purchase and will work with you, where reasonable, to ensure that you are. Only items returned in original, unworn, saleable condition, within the 7 day period, may be considered for refunds/exchanges.

✝ Custom/ Personalised items CANNOT be refunded or exchanged unless deemed faulty by BMM.

✝ Rings are classed as Custom items and therefore CANNOT be refunded or exchanged unless deemed faulty or damaged by Bloody Mary Metal. This includes personalised BMM Stack rings and ALL rings sized to order.

It is the responsibility of the customer to provide their correct ring size as per the standard UK ring sizing scale (as stated on the Ring Sizings page). BMM will then supply rings to fit as requested. If a ring does not fit, the cost of resizing falls with the customer (Ring re-sizing costs start at £10 per ring which covers time, materials and insured postage back to you- please see Ring Sizing Information for further info).

JUST TO REITERATE, ALL RINGS ARE NON-EXCHANGEABLE. We don’t keep stock of all ring sizes- every ring is individually handcrafted to fit it’s owner. Due to the time-consuming and personalized nature of this process rings simply cannot be exchanged or refunded, unless deemed faulty by BMM. Fear not though- we do offer a re-size service. If you require this service check out the Ring Sizing Information page for more details.

✝ Postage costs fall with the customer for returns/ exchanges, unless Bloody Mary Metal deems the product to be faulty or damaged. Please package any returns sufficiently and send with tracking, as items lost/damaged in transit due to inadequate packaging by you will not be considered for refunds/exchanges. We don’t want anyone missing out on a piece that could very well form an integral part of their jewelry set up for life so please do TRACK THAT ORDER!

✝ IF RETURNING ITEMS FROM OUTSIDE OF THE UK (for return/ exchange or resize) you MUST make sure you mark the package as a RETURNED ITEM otherwise we may incur a Customs/Import fee. BMM will refuse any items that need fees paying on them, and you may then get charged to have it returned to sender.

✝ ALL SALE ITEMS ARE NON RETURNABLE/ EXHANGEABLE/ REFUNDABLE. SALE IS FINAL. This includes any items bought with a discount/sales voucher.

We can go one better than that- all BMM orders are packaged in a deluxe, gold-foil printed BMM box. If you also require a message to be sent with the item please add it into the notes section of your order with clear instructions.

Definitely! BMM casts regularly in both silver and gold so if there’s something you’d like in gold get in touch via the CONTACT PAGE to discuss it with us. There’s usually a 4 week wait on gold items as we don’t keep them in stock so please give us as much notice as possible if it’s for a special occasion!
